Each of the transactions specifies the date-and-time the information was measured, the meal-or-event to which it applies, and the "significant data". For example:
for blood glucose, the source or location from which the blood sample was taken and glucose reading.
for food eaten, the nutritional content of the meal or snack. A list of the previous foods reported are shown, from which a selection may be made to apply the same entries from the previous use.
for insulin injection, it is assumed that the glucose test and the nutritional information for the meal to be eaten will be recorded before insulin is used. This transaction then uses the entries associated with the meal to which the insulin injection applies to calculate the "scheduled dosage".
